PencilPop Kids ("PencilPop," "we," "us") is run by TruCore Global LLC. This policy explains what information we collect on pencilpopkids.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. PencilPop is made for parents, guardians and teachers who download learning worksheets for children.
Information we collect
- Account info: your first name, email address and password. Your password is stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form that no one can read, not even us. You can also log in with a 6-digit code we email you, or with Google.
- Google sign-in (optional): if you choose "Sign in with Google," Google shares your name and email address with us. We don't get your Google password.
- Family profile (optional): your first name, and for each child a nickname, age and grade that you choose to add. We use this only to recommend worksheets.
- Newsletter sign-up: your first name, email and (optionally) your child's grade.
- Purchases: what you bought and when. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic site data: your cart and login are saved in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers them. Our hosting provider may record basic technical info, like IP address and browser type, to keep the site secure and working.
Children's privacy
PencilPop is meant to be used by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Children's details in a family profile (nickname, age, grade) are added by a parent or guardian, are optional, and are used only to show grade-matched worksheets. We do not share children's names or ages with our email or marketing tools, and we never sell them.
If you are a parent and want to see, change or delete your child's information, you can edit or remove it anytime in My account, or email us and we'll delete it. If you believe a child under 13 gave us personal information directly, contact us and we will delete it.
How we use your information
- To create your account, log you in, and give you access to the worksheets you bought, your free sheets, or your VIP membership.
- To email you login codes, download links, receipts and account messages.
- To send our newsletter and free worksheets if you signed up. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
- To recommend worksheets for your children's grades.
- To keep the site safe, prevent fraud, and improve PencilPop.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run PencilPop:
- Stripe: payment processing.
- HighLevel / LeadConnector: our customer records and email service (your name, email, purchases, newsletter status, and your children's grade levels, but not their names or ages).
- Cloudflare: hosting and storage for our website and worksheet files.
- Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- If the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
Advertising
Free visitors may see ads in the future. If we show ads, we'll use Google AdSense set to non-personalized ads, which are not based on your browsing history. VIP members never see ads. We'll update this policy before ads start.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open, and purchase records as long as needed for taxes and accounting. Login codes expire after 10 minutes. You can ask us to delete your account anytime.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any newsletter.
- Edit or remove your family profile in My account.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it.
- California residents: you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to ask us to delete it, and not to be treated differently for using these rights. We do not sell or "share" personal information for targeted advertising.
Security
We use secure connections (HTTPS), scrambled (hashed) passwords, email confirmation codes, limits on wrong password tries, and signed download links. No system is perfect, but we work hard to protect your information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Big changes will be announced on the site or by email.
